As time went on and Sole learned more about the Institute and the cruelness they possessed and spread all in the name of science the more they hated them, and finding out that they were the ones responsible for there sons kidnaping installed a rage so fierce in them that they vowed to destroy the Institute given the chance. After this revelation he was always quick to defend Sole if anyone tried to make them feel bad about their wings, he realized now that it really wasnt about what was on the outside but what was on the inside that made a person. Danse looked uncomfortable and unsure of what to do as he watched Sole bawl their eyes out and it didnt help that he felt like doing the same. Preston: He thought it was cute the way Sole mused over everything, even though the Commonwealth was a mainly ugly, radiated place full of unsightly mutated creatures they found a way to make everything seem beautiful in their poems they scribbled down in their little notebook all the time. It wasnt till Sole was healed up that they talked about their wings and answered any questions Mac had about them. Sole even attempts to pick Strong up and fly him around but that didnt turn out to hot and almost ended up getting them and Strong killed. He had felt guilty for making assumptions and apologized quickly and saying they were brave for making such an honorable sacrifice for their country. She would fill pages upon pages of personal notes simply on Soles wings and loved watching Sole fly and engage in combat, it awed her just how big the wings where when completely stretched out. Desdemona promised Sole that no one would give them shit as long as she was alive, and if anyone tried to they would find themselves missing a limb and a few teeth after she was done with them. After the dragon was done turning all the raiders into pieces of charcoal bones and getting a meal out of few, Cait scratched the dragons neck for a job well done and was glad Sole had kept them around all those years ago.
